LOS ANGELES (Feb. 14, 2017) - The Los Angeles Unified School District Board of Education today reaffirmed its commitment to creating safe and healthy school environments that are conducive to learning.
The board approved a resolution by Board Member Mónica Ratliff that seeks to improve the efficiency of the L.A. Unified Service Call mobile application.
Since 2010, the Service Call mobile application has been available for students, teachers, administrators and parents to easily report maintenance-related issues at campuses across the district. Preliminary data, however, shows relatively low usage rate districtwide.
In order to increase participation, the board has directed Superintendent Michelle King to provide a report detailing current usage data and with specific recommendations to improve the functionality, as well as to further publicize the application to increase usage.
Board Member Ratliff said, “I look forward to hearing the recommendations for how we can increase usage to more quickly and efficiently improve campus safety and cleanliness across the district.”
