Los Angeles has lost one of its finest angels. Among the many causes to which Bill Rosendahl dedicated his life was our public schools and, particularly, access to the arts for all children. I never saw Bill happier than when our kids, their teachers and their families surrounded him.
Playa Vista Elementary School, the Mark Twain Bell Ringers, countless school gardens, and the long list of LAUSD/City of LA partnerships could have never happened without Bill Rosendahl.
Our hearts are with Bill’s family, with the City family, and, especially, with my friend, Mike Bonin. But our hearts also sing because of the joy Bill’s amazing spirit brought to us all.
Thank you brother Bill, I will miss you, my friend. Because of you, our great schools are “great, great, great, great, great, and great.”
