LAUSD Brings Library Aides to More Schools

In an effort to provide all of our students more access to resources for learning and growing in 2015, the District combined three-hour Library Aide positions so that one Library Aide with a six-hour position can serve more than one school site.

As of Jan. 20, LAUSD paired three-hour vacancies with another three-hour position to ensure more of our students have access to library resources to support learning for all. The positions are also funded with full benefits for this year.

The California School Employees Association (CSEA), which represents LAUSD Library Aides and many other positions, worked with the Personnel Commission, the Office of Labor Relations, the Office of Curriculum & Instruction, and other departments on this collaborative effort to better support our students and schools.
