Statement Regarding Technology
from Superintendent Ramon C. Cortines
We are committed to providing technology to our children—whether it be desktop computers, laptops or tablets—to help prepare students for the world they are living in. I believe in technology as a tool to be used by classroom teachers and students. One thing is certain: I want to ensure that more teachers, administrators and parents are involved in the design of the instructional program as we move forward. I still need to meet with the Common Core Technology Project team to learn more about the plans in place but I think we will need to identify alternative sources to fund the curriculum ongoing. We will take all of our lessons learned and expert opinions into consideration as we refine our plan.
