All schools affected by the fire near the Port of Los Angeles will implement a modified shelter-in-place schedule.

Due to professional development, many of the schools will be dismissed today around 1:30 p.m.

The Office of Environmental Health and Safety will monitor the air quality in schools throughout the day.

Cafeteria managers will work with principals to facilitate distribution of lunch.

Outdoor activities will be redirected to classrooms.

Students will have access to restrooms.

Due to the air quality, doors and windows will be shut.

By implementing these safety precautions and continuing instruction, the Los Angeles Unified School District always prioritizes the safety and well-being of our students.
