LAUSD is a leader in the field of educating students with autism by providing numerous schools and programs that ensure students with autism have equal access to a high quality education.
From pre-school to high school, LAUSD has developed and continues to innovate educational programs that focus on the unique needs of every student as well as programs that mainstream many of our students with autism into general education classes.
Students with autism may need a variety of behavioral and social skills supports. The individualized education program (IEP) identifies those supports necessary in order for students with autism to access the curriculum.
