Instructional Calendars Restored to 180 Days

Before the Winter Break, the LAUSD Board of Education voted at the December 11th meeting to end the school year on June 7, 2013 for single-track schools. Calendars for the three year-round schools have also been revised to reflect the full 180-day calendar.

This vote came after the superintendent’s recommendation to restore the full 2012-13 academic calendar to 180 days and rescind furlough days for LAUSD employees at the November Board Meeting, which was approved unanimously.
