Tomorrow, May 2, Austin Beutner, philanthropist, former deputy mayor of Los Angeles, and founder of the school-based non-profit Vision to Learn, will give his first press conference since being named superintendent of L.A. Unified at today’s board meeting.

Superintendent Beutner has signed a three-year contract with the District, America’s second largest, and will join students, educators and elected officials to address challenges and opportunities ahead. He will take on-topic questions from media.
