Van Nuys Middle School to honor Superintendent King, numerous educators in special celebration

WHAT:         Van Nuys Middle School, in partnership with Empowered Gifts and the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce, will be celebrating faculty and staff who work tirelessly to make an impact on youth through community partnerships. The event also will recognize Dr. King, who has inspired students, parents, and educators, and honor the school’s 84 teachers and paraprofessionals during a school-wide assembly.

The event will feature remarks, followed by performances from the school’s vocal ensemble, and drill team. District and elected officials will present special awards to Dr. King, and to honored faculty members during the celebration.
