A day in the life of an L.A. Unified classified employee

WHAT:           As part of “Classified School Employee Week,” Superintendent Dr. Michelle King and various L.A. Unified department heads, are spending a day shadowing employees who perform jobs essential to the daily operation of the school district. These include — but are not limited to — bus drivers, cafeterias workers, plant managers, office staff, school police, groundskeepers, maintenance workers, library aids and others.

Organized in partnership with the California School Employees Association, the event will take place around the District, as various senior executives, such as the superintendent, chief academic officer, personnel director, general counsel, chief facilities executive, chief information officer will learn about roles employees’ play and help them perform typical duties.
