WHAT: L.A. Unified leaders will join students at Vintage Math/Science/Technology Magnet as they celebrate the National Blue Ribbon Award won by the school for its progress in closing the achievement gap.
Vintage, a schoolwide magnet, draws its students from diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds. With a focus on science, technology and math, Vintage offers hand-on learning activities and a cross-cultural curriculum designed to equip its 800 students with 21st century skills.

Awarded by the U.S. Department of Education, the National Blue Ribbon honor affirms the hard work of administrators, teachers, students and parents. Vintage is among the 342 schools nationwide recognized this year with Blue Ribbon honors. Another winning L.A.
