L.A. Unified Launches Annual Challenge Los Angeles

WHAT: Nearly 75 students from nine high schools will gather for the start of Challenge Los Angeles, a seven-week competition in which they will develop innovative solutions to complex challenges facing their communities. During the kickoff, experts in their respective fields will present five challenges in areas including financial literacy, public health and the democratic process.
The activity is designed to promote civic responsibility, team-building and leadership skills and community engagement. The top-scoring teams will be announced in early March.
