WHAT:  L.A. Unified officials, parents, community members and special guests will celebrate $107,000 in technology and infrastructure upgrades to the computer laboratory at Grand View Boulevard Elementary School. The project includes new computers, white boards and classroom furniture, as well as updated flooring, paint, storage space and a mural.

Sports radio personality Steve Mason helped raise $27,000 in donations toward the purchase of the computers. The computer lab will be named Stephen J. Macionsky Jr., in memory of his father.
