Students to meet all-female ensemble of scientists, engineers at “Women in STEM” event

WHAT: Two thousand students are expected to take part in Women in STEM*, a special event sponsored by the Los Angeles Unified School District in partnership with the Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Students will have the opportunity to interact with an all-female group of scientists and engineers as they present their work with projects such as the Mars Rover 2020, Juno Mission, robotic space exploration and more.

WHEN:          8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 11

WHERE:        John H. Francis Polytechnic Senior High School (auditorium/blue gym)

*STEM stands for science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
