WHAT: L.A. Unified officials, parents/guardians, community members and special guests will celebrate technology and infrastructure upgrades to the Parent Center at Melvin Avenue Elementary School. The project improvements include interior paint, security upgrades, new white boards and bulletin boards, classroom furniture and laptop computers.

The Parent and Family Center Improvement Program makes key facility improvements and equipment investments to enhance a school site’s ability to develop and deliver classes and activities that broaden the capacity of parents and families to support student learning.
