A Lasting Impression Turns Into a Dodgers Dream Come True

WHAT: In 1988, Ricardo Josue Puentes, newly arrived from Mexico, attended Christopher Dena Elementary School for only 71 days. That’s all it took to make a lasting impression of a lifetime. Back then, it was named Dacotah Elementary School.

Fast forward 29 years. He has donated a pair of two World Series Dodgers tickets for Game 2, to a lucky student and a guest from the school. Mr. Puente wants to give back to the community and let students know that no matter where they start from, they can accomplish great things.
               
The school held an essay contest on why they are Dodger fans. Teachers selected the winner.
