The Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) will present grand prize winners for the 2012-13 LAUSD “I’m In” School Attendance Challenge. This announcement culminates the partnership with Clear Channel Media + Entertainment and other corporate partners to reward students with perfect attendance. Students have said “I’m In” by being on time every school day, and not leaving early, in order to qualify for a drawing of monthly prizes and grand prizes at the end of the school year.
High School seniors achieving perfect attendance from October through April were entered into a random drawing and two will be awarded brand-new Chevrolet Sonic® cars as grand prizes. In addition, five elementary school students with perfect attendance during the challenge period won new iPads®. Cash prizes of $3,000 will also be awarded to six winning schools which met the criteria of the most improved and excellent attendance in the District. During the school year, the challenge offered rewards to students with perfect attendance each month. The prizes included gift cards, bicycles, tickets to movies and amusement parks and more.
Those expected to attend include:
Dr. John Deasy – LAUSD Superintendent of Schools
